Anonymous asked: What is the name of the song in the trailer? It's so lovely. I'm looking forward to catching your film...
Hi there, the song is called “Run” and it’s by a band in San Diego called Martian Horses that also scored the music for the film! thanks for asking!
Getting ready for LOS ANGELES. Well, sorry it’s not much of a Mother’s Day weekend film (take Mom to see Daylight Savings instead)… but we’re excited to see those of you who are coming out on Friday for VIETTE. Just make sure to get to the CGV early enough to find it, get parking, etc. After the show, we will have a lengthy Q&A, sell souvenir dvds, and then head to some place to eat!

Viette - Friday, May 11 - 9:30pm
Also, while there are many other films to check out during the festival, it’s fantastic to see all the collaboration that has been happening. Some of the VIETTE crew members are premiering the documentary UPLOADED: The Asian American Movement. Director Kane Diep was a camera operator on ViETTE and many of his cohorts were extras as well. His film explores the increasing visibility of Asian Americans in pop culture since the advent of new media platforms like YouTube.
VIETTE’s Post-Production Supervisor is none other than filmmaking-machine Dave Boyle who will premiere DAYLIGHT SAVINGS the sequel to last year’s award-winning SURROGATE VALENTINE, and also appear as an actor in Richard Wong’s hilarious YES, WE’RE OPEN.
Congrats to all my friends with films at the fest this year - I am in good company!
Too many films to mention, so take a look! The 28th Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival Line-up
